Welcome to Roam Pal Guide, a digital guidebook application managed by ADAI Digital Ltd ("we", "our", or "us"). We are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring your personal data is handled securely and transparently.

1. Local-First Data Privacy

Roam Pal Guide is built as a local-first PWA application. This means:

• All of your checklist checkmarks, trip notes, journal entries, and custom diaries are stored strictly locally on your own device's storage (via browser localStorage or IndexedDB).
• We do not operate a remote database for user accounts or sync your diary to our servers. Your data remains yours, under your physical control.

2. On-Device AI Assistance (Gemma)

The optional AI road-trip helper ("Ask Roam Pal") runs fully locally on your own computer or device. When you enable the AI chat helper:

• The Gemma AI model weights are downloaded into your browser cache, and inference is executed on your local graphics card (WebGPU) or processor (NPU).
• Your chat prompts, queries, and contextual travel facts are processed entirely on your device and are never sent to external servers or third-party AI companies.

3. Affiliate Link Disclosure & Referral Markers

To help fund the curation and maintenance of our guidebooks, Roam Pal Guide participates in affiliate and referral programs:

• Travelpayouts: We include links and widgets to book hotels, flights, and tours. If you make a purchase through these links, we may receive a small affiliate commission or kickback at no additional cost to you.
• Saily: We provide referral links to purchase international eSIM mobile data plans, which may earn us affiliate points or commission.

4. Cookies & Analytics

We do not use tracking cookies or analytics scripts on this website. Because your checklists and diaries are saved locally on your device, we have no mechanism to track your movements or profile your behavior.
